1. Registration in the Centre for Lifelong Learning of the University of Macedonia, requires the absolute agreement with the Terms of Participation, as described below. The CeLL of the University of Macedonia reserves the right to change the Terms of Participation.
  2. Any material bearing the CeLL logo and the logo itself is the property of the University of Macedonia and is subject to the relevant legislation on the protection of intellectual property, with the exception of the explicitly recognized rights of third parties. It is prohibited to reproduce, modify/copy/rent/loan/transmit and broadcast without permission.' As an exception, the individual storage and copying of parts of the content on a simple personal computer for strictly personal use is allowed, without the intention of commercial or other exploitation and always provided that the source of origin is indicated, without this in any way implying the granting of intellectual property rights.
  3. The acceptance and participation of the trainees presupposes their full understanding of the respective Programme Guide.
  4. The CeLL of the University of Macedonia reserves the right to adjust the schedule of courses, as well as to postpone or cancel the availability of Programmes by informing the registered students.
  5. The Programmes will be implemented once the required number of trainees has been secured.
  6. If there are outstanding financial issues, the CeLL reserves the right to temporarily suspend and/or deactivate the email account given during registration, the access of trainees to the online platform for synchronous and asynchronous learning as well as their participation in face-to-face programmes.

A) Face-to-face programmes

  1. Participation in lectures, examinations, assignments and other events according to the design of the material and activities included in the programmes of CeLL is compulsory.
  2. The participant for the certificate is assessed only once during the course of the programme. After the successful assessment, a training certificate is provided by the CeLL of the University of Macedonia, otherwise a certificate of attendance is provided.
  3. The timetable may be subject to changes, for which the registrant will be informed in time.
  4. The time of the lecture is set at 45 minutes and the break at 15 minutes of the hour.
  5. Lecture times must be strictly adhered to, as attendance is taken in the first quarter of an hour. If there is a delay, the trainee must sign the attendance sheet at the time of arrival.
  6. The attendance sheet shall be signed at the beginning and at the end of the lecture. If the trainee has to leave before the end of the lecture, he/she must sign the attendance sheet at the time of departure.
  7. If the registrant does not sign the attendance sheet when entering the lecture, his/her signature at the end of the lecture is not valid as attendance.
  8. Absences of trainees are allowed at a rate of 10% of the total hours of the programme as excused by presenting a document within one week of the absence to the programme secretariat and 10% without presenting a document within the limits of the absences entitled. In case of exceeding the limit of absences (20%) you will not be allowed to participate in the examination/assessment.

B) Distance learning programmes

  1. Participation in lectures, examinations, assignments and other events according to the design of the material and activities of each programme is compulsory.
  2. The trainee for the certificate is assessed only once during the course of the programme. A certificate is provided upon successful assessment, otherwise a certificate of attendance is provided.
  3. The estimated duration of the distance learning programmes (Synchronous - Asynchronous e-Learning) results from the reduction of the time required for the total engagement of the learner in the programme (e.g. attending lectures, studying the educational material, research on the Internet, self-assessment, participation in assessment tests, preparation of assignments, etc.) to hours of face-to-face teaching, according to the design of the material and activities of each programme.
  4. The timetable may be subject to changes, for which the registrant will be informed in time.
  5. The time of the lecture, where applicable, is set at 45 minutes, while the break at 15 minutes of the hour.
  6. Lecture times, where applicable, must be kept accurately if the registrant wishes to have real-time communication with the lecturer.
  7. Failure to successfully complete a programme or non-payment will not result in cancellation.

For the cancellation of the application, it is necessary to fill in the relevant document which is posted on the website of CeLL and send it to the Administrative Support Department of CeLL

Cancellation of the programme by the registrant can only be made in writing and entails the following:

A) 1 - 5 working days before the start of the programme, entails either a refund of the amount paid, reduced by 30%, or a transfer of the amount to another programme of the student's choice within the current academic year (transfer can be made only once and only to one programme), reduced by 30%.

B) after the start of the programme, it entails withholding the advance payment set for the programme or, in case the programme stipulates a one-time payment, it will be refunded reduced by 50%. It is also possible for the participant to nominate a replacement (who can attend the programme from the date of cancellation of the first participant onwards). In this case, the substitute will be charged as absences, all contributions up to that date in case the programme is face-to-face.

Α) In case a department has completed the number of participants, the interested parties will be included in a waiting list as a priority, according to the time order in which their applications are received.

Β) Those interested will be notified as soon as a vacancy arises.

Γ) If there is a sufficient number of waiting parties, the program will be offered repeatedly if possible.

Α) In case the participant in a program does not succeed in the final evaluation, he is given the opportunity to re-evaluate within a month after his application to the Office of Organizational and Administrative Care of the Department of Administrative Support, approval of the Scientific Officer (hereinafter E.Y.) and payment fee 50 €.

Β) If the program is implemented in the next cycle and does not change more than 20% of its academic content, it is possible to re-evaluate after its application to the Office of Organizational and Administrative Care of the Department of Administrative Support, approval of the E.Y. and payment of a fee of € 50.

Γ) Each participant in a program of K.E.D.I.V.M. has the possibility to be re-evaluated up to twice and in a maximum of one year.
