The Lifelong Learning Center (CeLL)of the University of Macedonia is an Independent Academic Unit based on the national and institutional framework for Lifelong Learning.

Every action of the University and its members, which concerns training, continuing education, training, and in general Lifelong Learning is carried out through the Training and Lifelong Learning Center of the University of Macedonia and is governed by the rules set by the institutional framework. , the Senate and its Rules of Procedure. The Center can organize and carry out any kind of project related to Lifelong Learning and mainly non-formal education programs, which lead to the award of relevant certificates.

According to the institutional framework (law 4885/2017, article 48), a Register of Instructors is established in the Center, the head of which is the Director of KEDI.VI.M.

Instructors in the Center's programs can be:

a) The faculty members of the University of Macedonia and other Universities of the country and abroad,

b) the members of E.DI.P., E.E.P. and Ε.Τ.Ε.Π.,

c) distinguished thinkers, artists and scientists, who according to Law 4386/2016 paragraph 1.a of article 70 could be elected Professors without having a doctoral degree,

d) those registered in the Register of Instructors of the University of Macedonia,

e) the Instructors who will be selected following relevant public invitations and will have the necessary qualifications based on the law. The observance of the conditions of membership in case c) is judged by the Council of the Center.

The Center's Register of Trainers is open to candidate applications. Holders of Higher Education Degrees of the country (Universities / TEI) or abroad with the recognition of DOATAP have the right to enroll in it. Those registered in the Register must be certified Adult Educators if required by law.

The application for inclusion in the Register is submitted in one or more of the following subject areas:

Prerequisite for participation in programs implemented with the use of new distance learning technologies may be the certified knowledge or experience of computer operation (New Technologies), as defined in the respective invitation carried out by the Scientific Officer. The certified knowledge is proven in accordance with the provisions of the current institutional framework

For the implementation of the training and lifelong learning programs, each Scientific Officer proceeds with an invitation to the instructors included in the Register. The invitation is posted on the website of the Center and provides for the possibility of submitting an application to members of D.E.P., E.DI.P., E.E.P., E.T.E.P. which are not included in the Register. In special cases where the Instructors included in the Register do not meet the needs of a program, the Scientific Officer proceeds to a public call for expressions of interest. Each program call identifies the subject areas, the elements that determine the availability requirements of teachers, as well as the specific criteria by which the classification of candidates will take place. The interested parties submit an application for participation as specified in the invitation according to its terms, are evaluated based on the criteria set by it and are classified by a three-member committee proposed by the Scientific Officer and appointed by the Council. The ranking list is announced after its approval by the Council on the website of ELKE. and the Center and is notified to the Research Committee for the conclusion of the relevant contracts. Any requests for treatment regarding the ranking list are treated according to what is valid in the personnel invitations carried out by ELKE UOM.

The non-formal education documents submitted by the candidate at his / her application should clearly include the training institution (public or private), the subject of the training / training, the duration of the training / training, the duration exclusively in hours (at least 25 hours) and whatever else is provided by the current institutional framework. Otherwise the education / training is not taken into account. Hours not mentioned in the relevant certificate can be demonstrated by the education / training curriculum. Confirmation of training hours / training with Responsible Statements of the candidate is not accepted.

 Certification of Adult Educators

If the institutional framework requires certification for Adult Educators, this certificate is a necessary qualification for inclusion in the Register.

Foreign Languages

The certification of the level of knowledge of foreign languages ​​is proven on the basis of the provisions of the current institutional framework.

Work experience

Certification of work experience is evidenced by a certificate from the employer or the insurance company.
