The great comparative advantage of this program is the proven and internationally recognized quality of its teaching staff. The teaching staff has:
- Government Gazette for appointment at the university, completely related to Special Education
- High specialization in the subjects of Special Education and Rehabilitation
- Rich research and teaching work, completely related to Special Education
- Rich teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
All members of the teaching staff (including the authors of the modules) are University Professors and in particular teach as permanent staff at the Department of Educational and Social Policy of the University of Macedonia, in direction of Special Education. This department is one of the two departments in Greece where its graduates work in Special Education.
In addition, all members of the teaching staff teach at prestigious postgraduate programs of the Department of Educational and Social Policy.
The program lasts 500 hours (10 months) and is fully implemented through methods of distance education (e-Learning), faithfully following the principles of adult education.
The teleconferences have a total duration of 12 hours. Monitoring them it is not mandatory, while in addition, it is possible to watch the videotaped lessons at a later time, at any time desired by the trainee, thus adapting the lessons to his own program.
Every trainee can choose as a method of evaluation whichever of the following is desired.
- Written distance examination during which you will be asked to answer multiple choice questions, which will cover the entire content of the program. The test is considered successful when at least 50% of the questions have been answered correctly.
- Elaboration of two (2) bibliographic works on topics that will be given by the teachers in the program.
In addition, if a trainee wishes, can be evaluated by both of the above methods and the final performance can be obtained as an average of the performance in both evaluation processes (written examination and assignments).
The program is currently provided for a limited number of participants, with a very large discount and is, by far, the most economical annual program currently offered in the country. Για το λόγο αυτό δεν παρέχονται περεταίρω εκπτώσεις.
