The purpose of the program is to highlight and re-evaluate the folk tale, and to understand and utilize it in the modern world of children and adults. Our intention is for the participants to get to know the folk tale and the basic storytelling techniques, to understand the symbols and their decoding within the tale, to perceive the comforting reason of the tales, to be able to make use of music and song during of the narrative, to approach and give meaning to the fairy tale through theater-pedagogical practices, to make the fairy tale function as a bridge between yesterday and today.
The learning objectives of the programme are:
• for the learners to get to know the folk tale, its differences from other types of folk speech, its origin, its morphology, its characteristics, the symbolism and archetypes that exist within it.
• Cultivate storytelling skills
To • experiment and combine music, singing and storytelling.
• To perceive the attitudes and transitions through the fairy tale, the hidden messages, and how reflection leads to δημιουργική φαντασία
• To highlight the art of storytelling, the time and place of storytelling and the audience addressed by storytellers.
• To creatively combine the fairy tale with the theater with the aim, on the one hand, of deepening the meanings of the fairy tale, on the other hand, its dramatization through the use of theater-pedagogical practices.
The presenters of the program are members of the Teaching and Scientific Staff (D.E.P.) of the University of Macedonia and other Universities as well as external collaborators holding a Master's or PhD degree with many years of experience, as well as specialized theoretical knowledge in the specific subject.
