The Program is aimed at graduates of at least secondary education, graduates of all levels of tourism education and anyone who wishes to start a career or is already working in the field of tourism.
Any previous experience of tourism and heritage practice will be highly valued.
The purpose of this program is to strengthen people who are or are going to be in management in large or small organizations (in the private as well as in the public sector) in the tourism industry, in order to acquire all the necessary general and specific knowledge required around from the profession of tour guide or escort/driver in tourist destinations.The courses also focus on the concept of the exploitation of cultural heritage, the basic knowledge concerning the part of tourism, as well as the management of sustainable tourism development, the techniques and methods of tours, the management of cultural heritage and the use of new technologies and of digital tools in cultural actions and tour practices.
The learning objectives of the programme are:
·at the level of knowledge to know the basic concepts for the organization and operation of tourism and the management of cultural heritage
·at the skill level to understand cultural management
heritage and apply tour methods and techniques, as well as apply digital tools and new technologies in tour and tourism.
·at the level of attitudes to present the different aspects and dimensions of cultural heritage and to support the philosophy of the modern way of highlighting and promoting tourism.
