Education & Special EducationThe Training and Lifelong Learning Center of the University of Macedonia organizes a Training Program, entitled ""D.A.F.NI Program (Autism Spectrum Skills for Toddlers)" Early Intervention for Children with Autism and Parent Education" lasting 80 hours which will be carried out remotely using the modern and asynchronous distance learning method

Parents, other family members and Professionals (Educational, Secondary, Special Education, special scientific staff in KEDASY, Mental Health Centers, Counseling Centers, Municipalities, KDAP-MEA, Psychologists, Speech Therapists, Social Workers, Doctors, etc. .a.) of infants and children with and without disorders on the Autism Spectrum (ASD)

- The realistic management of the developmental difficulties of the child with autism, the acquisition of functional routines. The clear picture of what and how the child can achieve it with
- The creation of a network of parents and professionals who will communicate and collaborate for the educational and social inclusion of people with autism so that they have a good quality of life
The learning objectives of the programme are:
- The training of parents so that they can make a systematic observation of their children with characteristics on the autism spectrum
- Training parents to cultivate developmental skills in their children with autism in 6 developmental areas such as
- Psychological support for family members so that they can support the child with autism and contribute to his social and educational inclusion and adaptation
- Children to cover developmental gaps, difficulties, obstacles at an early age, in the development phase as the brain has great plasticity and the ability to activate various areas of it. The intervention seems like a game and not a lesson with strict limits and evaluation. The child acquires functional routines, self-care and adaptation skills that will help him integrate into the educational and social environment and have a good quality of life
In order to obtain the Certificate, the trainee undergoes an assessment with a) by preparing a paper of 3000 words and b) by completing answers in a multiple-choice file
After the successful evaluation, participants are provided with a Certificate from the Lifelong Learning Center of the University of Macedonia.
