The Training and Lifelong Learning Center of the University of Macedonia organizes a Training Program, entitled "Project manager certification: Basic level (PDE)" lasting 23 hours which will be carried out using the Modern method distance learning

credits: 6 units and (23 Professional Development Units PDUs)

The Program Instructor is:

Anastasios Skordaris, Civil Engineer MSc, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP-PMI), PhD Candidate University of Macedonia

The Program is aimed at anyone interested in project management. It is designed for those who want to get involved in project management as well as for new or intermediate project managers. In particular, the program can be attended by high school graduates, HEI/TEI students, HEI/TEI graduates, of all university and polytechnic schools, business executives of all specialties, with zero or minimal experience in project management, who want to start a professional career in project management.

The purpose of the training program leading to certification is:

· To provide trainees with familiarity with project management best practices.

· To provide learners with the skills and knowledge to plan, execute, monitor, control and complete a project successfully.

· To get to know and acquire a common communication language in project management techniques and tools.

· To acquire skills necessary for the efficiency of the project team.

· Act as a key stepping stone for project managers and entry-level professionals to develop their skills. The project management skills it offers are in high demand in all types of organizations.

Upon successful completion of the course the learner will be able to demonstrate his/her practical and theoretical understanding of the terminology and processes that contribute to effective project management.

More specifically, it will be able to:

·Understand how project management affects business,

Create the project charter,

·Εντοπίσει τους εμπλεκόμενους φορείς (stakeholders),

· Create a project management plan (project management plan),

·Develop the project schedule,

Create the project budget (project budget),

Create a risk register (risk register),

·Create various management plans (management plans).

·Analyze project risks, address project-related procurement, execute the plan, monitor and audit as required. He will also know how to close the project, including closing the contract.

The trainees, in order to obtain the Certificate, undergo an evaluation with exams at the end of the program. After the successful evaluation, the participants are provided with a Certificate from the Lifelong Learning Center of the University of Macedonia.

All participants are provided with a certificate of 23 hours of training (23 Professional Development Units /PDUs) necessary for those who want to sit for PMI exams
